Complete stall rest; Ice & Bute/banamine to cool tendon out. Stop meds and see if heat returns; could be two months or more. When heat is gone, sweat tendon 3 days on [bandage with glycerin or Furacin under Saran Wrap], 3 days off [bandage with alcohol but no saran wrap] continuing till tendon appears normal. I recommend total stall rest for poss 5-6 months or more and rest for a total layoff time of 1 year. This will provide best cosmetic appearance and total healing. Dont rush!!
