I have a problem...:-/ Recently my ipod video was left in the back of a car, and some liquid face soap poured onto it. It was having problems turning on, and the hold button seemed to have little to no effect, it seemed as though the ipod would be locked and unlocked randomly as it pleased. I tried taking it apart, and I thought I fixed it, it seemed one of the ribbons needed to be moved. I put it back together and it worked great. A couple days later it was back to its old self. I opened it again, intending to tape the ribbon in a working placement. But, to my dismay, the ribbon came loose. Now the ipod will not turn on and I have given up all hope. My question is this: Can it be fixed by me, or can I still take it to a repair shop? I don't want to take it to someone who will tell me it's trashed, when there's a possibility of saving it. Thanks in advance!
