My name is Crystal Smith. I am a 31 year old mother of 3. Cody is 12, Austin is 9 and Autumn is 6. I am also married to a wonderful man, Brian. We own and operate a small rabbitry in Central Illinois called Cody's Rabbit Cave. We raise quality rabbits in Polish (Black, Blue, Broken, Chocolate and BEW), Dutch (Blue & Black), Mini Satin (White). We are home to 5 Grand Champion rabbits and several prospects. All of our rabbtis make great pets for children and adults alike.

by CodysRabbitCave on 06/05/07 : yes, people eat rabbits. there are many commercial breeders nation wide. We have only sold a small handful live for meat (they process it them selves) most of our rabbits are pets or go to other breeders, 4Hers, FFA members. I have eaten rabbit however personally find it very difficult to eat something I have raised. So, no bunny stew for us...I'll stick with Chicken!!! Out of the 4 breeds we raise, Satins are the only "Commercial" type we have. Even though the Mini Satins are commercial in type of body, they are too small at 10 weeks of age for meat production and are used for showing and pets. ...
