One of the problems with hiding from the process server is that it jeopardizes your credibility. If the server swears an affidavit stating that they know that you are home when they come and that you refuse to answer them, that can be deemed by the Court as you admitting guilt and a judgment could be made against you with costs. And as well, the party suing you could get a Court order permitting the server to leave with summons with someone from your work or another family member, and that could be even more embarrassing. It might be wiser to receive the summons and get a lawyer to deal with your case.

There is a difference between devotional prayer between you and God and a public prayer where you deliberately stand and pray for a need. A devotional prayer is personal, ongoing and develops your relationship with God, while a public prayer is necessary when you are trying to get others to see the power of God in meeting that need. The answers to fervent prayers change people, not the public display of praying.
