I tried to write an article on house cleaning based on books I was reading, but the topic was too big. I discovered that an article on just cleaning the sink would be less overwhelming to the reader than cleaning the entire room. It would also be less overwhelming to the cleaner. I found this out by timing how long it takes to dust a bookshelf, i. e. about 45 minutes. It seems to me separate directions on each item in the room would help the infrequent cleaner remember what to do.
