Ceiling fan blades are one of those random items that we all have in our homes which take a beating over the course of the years. Most people don't bump the blades of a ceiling fan but once in a blue moon but when they do the ceiling fan is usually spinning at full speed and plenty of damage can be inflicted. If this has happened to you then you either need to repair your ceiling fan blades or replace your ceiling fan blades all together. This guide should help you out.
Step 1
Stand on a chair or step ladder and carefully remove the ceiling fan blades from your current ceiling fan central mount. The fan blades are typically secured to the motor by two screws on the top of the blade near the motor. You will want to remove and replace all of the ceiling fan blades t once even if there is damage only to one of the blades as the replacement fan blades will most likely not be an exact match to your old blades.

Measure your old ceiling fan blades for their length. You will need to know this when you go to the store to purchase replacement blades for your ceiling fan. Unless the length doesn't matter to you you will want to make sure the proportions are similar to what you previously had.
Step 3
Go to your local home improvement store and speak with a salesperson about buying ceiling fan blade replacements for your fan at home. Most large home stores will carry ceiling fans and the blades are merely an accessory. If however your home store doesn't carry ceiling fan blades a la carte then you mat have to find a home store online which does carry replacement fan blades.
Step 4
After purchasing your new ceiling fan blades replace your old blades with them by reattaching them to the ceiling fan motor just as you removed the old fan blades. The new ceiling fan blades should simply reattach with the same screws the held your old blades in place. Make sure they are secured tight so that they don't wobble while the fan is spinning.
