Crossfire Hints & Tips

Crossfire is a free-to-play military first-person shooter online computer game. The game centers on a battle between two international mercenary forces that are blacklist terrorists and global risk anti-terrorist mercenaries. Players work in online teams and play in objective-based scenarios, such as Team Death Match.

  1. Easy Bonus Items

    • Destroy all your enemies until there's only one left. Avoid killing that enemy until a bonus item appears. When the bonus item appears, kill your last enemy.

    Weapons & GP

    • Save your money until you become a sergeant or staff sergeant. When you become a private, you'll receive a 10,000 GP bonus, a 20,000 GP bonus when you become a sergeant and a 30,000 GP bonus when you become a staff sergeant. If you save your money instead of spending it, you should have approximately 115,000 GP when you become a staff sergeant. Use this money to purchase either a "Best Sniper," "Best Machine-Gun," "Best Rifle," "Best SMG," "Best Shotgun," "Best Pistol" or the "Best Scope Rifle."

    Ghost Mode

    • One problem you might have in ghost mode is that noob ghosts usually stand still and wait for people to walk by before they attack. To counteract this, take out your knife and run in circles while performing the stabbing motion. Try to do this near areas where ghosts are more likely to be found, such as corners. Ghosts are occasionally found near steps and the water. Once you find a ghost, step back and shoot it with your gun.

Advanced ghosts are more difficult to kill because they have the ability to maneuver and jump while attacking. To counteract this, jump while the ghost is jumping and spray your bullets. If the ghost is running away, fire your bullets in a burst.

Wearing headphones while you play can help you hear ghosts while they're moving, which can make them easier to kill.

    Mutation Strikes

    • Before a mutation strike is about to occur, move your character to a high place that's difficult for mutants to reach.

    C4 Icon

    • If the C4 icon starts beeping, run away immediately. If a noob soldier hasn't started defusing the bomb, it's already too late.

    How to Do a Bhop

    • The three types of Bhops are backhops, forward bhops and FS bhops.

To perform a backhop hold "S" and "Control" and hit the "Spacebar."

To perform a forward bhop hold "W" for about two seconds and press the "Spacebar." Press "Control" while you're in the air and hit the "Spacebar" once you hit the ground again.

To perform an FS bhop, hold "Control" and "A" and "D" and hit the "Spacebar."

    Be Aware

    • Being aware of your surroundings is an important part of being a successful crossfire player. Noobs usually hide behind corners and boxes, so be on the lookout.

    Avoid Camping

    • If you camp with the sniper the whole game, people will catch onto what you're doing and kill you. It's OK to camp for part of the game, but try to change the location you're sniping from once in a while.
