Bobcat 600 Specifications

The Bobcat 600 skid steer loader was released in three versions: the M-600, the M-600D and the M-600-E. The M-600 and M-600D were both released in 1967. The Bobcat M-600-E was released in 1976. All three models feature the Bob-Tach attachment system and have optional auxiliary hydraulics. Most of their other specifications are different from one another.

Dimensions

The Bobcat M-600 is 107 inches long, 54 inches wide and 82 inches high. Its wheelbase is 35 inches and its height to the hinge pin of the bucket when the bucket is lifted is 108 inches. The bucket reach when fully extended is 13 inches.

The M-600D is also 107 inches long, 54 inches wide and 82 inches high with a wheelbase of 35 inches and a hinge pin height of 108 inches. The reach of the bucket when fully lifted is 17.5 inches.

The M-600-E is 105 inches long, 60 inches wide and 66 inches high with a wheelbase of 35 inches. The height to the hinge pin with the bucket extended is 108 inches and its reach at full bucket height is 17.5 inches.

Engine

The engine in the M-600 is a 25-horsepower gasoline engine. The fuel pump capacity is 9.7 gallons per minute and the engine is cooled using air. The Bobcat M-600D engine is a 24-horsepower diesel engine. It is also cooled using air and its fuel pump capacity is 9.2 gallons per minute. The M-600-E has an electric engine that produces 15 horsepower and is also cooled by air.

Load

The operating weight for the Bobcat M-600 is 3,500 lbs. Its operating capacity, rated by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), is 1,000 lbs and its tipping load is 1,720 lbs. The Bobcat M-600D has an operating weight of 4,235 lbs. Its SAE rated operating capacity is 1,000 lbs and its tipping weight is 1,830 lbs. The M-600-E has an operating weight of 3,550 lbs. Its SAE rated operating capacity is also 1,000 lbss and its tipping load is 1,840 lbs.
