The front suspension of this dirt bike was a fully adjustable leading-axle Showa cartridge fork. This suspension allowed the front axle to travel 10.8 inches. The rear suspension was a Pro-Ling Showa single-shock that was fully adjustable. This suspension also allowed the rear axle to travel 10.8 inches. The CR 85's front tire had a wide point of 70 inches and an aspect ratio of 70. The rear tire's wide point was 90 inches and had an aspect ratio of 90.
