Treasure Hunt

Create a series of clues to lead your potential date on a quest to find you. When creating the clues, give little hints to help her try to determine your identity. Also consider her likes and interests; one of the clues could lead her to a small gift like her favorite snack. Similarly, make the clues interesting but easy enough that she will definitely be able to follow the instructions. If you don't already have one, borrow a remote control toy like a car or robot to attach a written invitation to prom. Figure out her schedule and choose a time when she will be at home or finishing up an after-school activity, and then hide someplace nearby. Try to tell her friends or family your plan before executing it to ensure it goes off without a hitch. If she is at home, ring the doorbell and run back to your hiding place; when she opens the door, steer the toy in her direction until it bumps gently into her foot. Fortune Cookie

Write your invitation on a piece of paper that is roughly the size of a Chinese fortune. Slide this piece of paper into a fortune cookie; this might take a bit of maneuvering, so try not to leave this idea until the last minute. Go to a local Chinese restaurant and ask them for a small takeout box to house the fortune cookie. Ask the restaurant if they will deliver the cookie to your potential date for an added element of surprise. Another option is to take her out on a date to a Chinese restaurant and arrange with the staff beforehand to give her the cookie at the end of the meal.

Prom Pizza

Call your local pizza place and ask them to spell out your invitation on a pizza with her favorite toppings, then have it delivered to her house. If you feel like being mysterious, don't tell her who the pizza is from; instead, ask the delivery driver if you can come along and wait in the car while he explains the unexpected delivery and shows her the message inside. After he explains, get out of the car and wait for her response.
