Projects With Mirrors
Home improvement projects that utilize mirrors are an inexpensive way to add a touch of class to any room in your home. A mirror is luminous and sparkles as rays of light bounce off its surface. Mirrors can also create a sense of depth and spaciousness for smaller homes to really bring the space to life. There are several do-it-yourself home improvement projects that you can complete in a day or less. Does this Spark an idea?

Planters
-
Mirrored tiles affixed to a pair of rectangular planters can add a touch of shine and whimsy to your space. Don't cover the entire planter; just cover the border at its top. Stick self-adhesive square tile mirrors directly onto the planter in a becoming design. Alternatively, you can stick circular or other shaped mirrored tiles into an attractive design along the border. Fill with soil and your favorite houseplant to complete.
Picture Frame
-
A mirrored mosaic picture frame is a way to add some glamour to a cherished photograph that you want to display in your home. Small self-adhesive mirrored tiles are available in most craft stores. Paint an old picture frame in an eye-catching color or purchase a new frame. Stick the mirrored tiles around the perimeter of the frame in an attractive pattern to complete the look. Insert a cherished photo and use in your home or give to a friend as a gift.

Table
-
Breathe new life into an old tabletop by covering it with mirrored tiles. Self-adhesive tiles work best and are available in a wide array of colors, shapes and sizes. Clean and repaint the tabletop in a color that coordinates with the rest of the room's décor. Draw a layout of your design with a piece of chalk. Once the design is complete, stick the mirrored tiles in place. Glue mirrored tiles around the bases of each leg or on a pullout drawer to complete.
Wall Art
-
Strategically hung mirrored panels can serve as a primary focal point for a wall in your home, thus creating a piece of wall art. Special hanging tools and instructions are included with most mirrored panel kits. Alternatively, you can use a caulking gun to stick the panels onto the wall.
