1993 Chevy Truck Specs

In 1993, Chevrolet released several pickup trucks, including the S10 and the C/K models. These trucks came with a variety of features and exterior options. Long or short cargo beds were available, and cabs were offered in Regular, Extended and Crew Cab options. Each model offered a choice of engines, which range from V8 engines to turbo diesels.

  1. S10

    • The 1993 S10 was released in three trims: base, EL and Tahoe. All trims were available in either a regular cab or an extended cab. A choice of a rear-wheel drive or a four-wheel drive was also available on all trims. Its base powertrain is a 2.5-liter, inline four-cylinder engine with an output of 105 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and a torque of 135 pound-feet at 3,200 rpm. Its towing capacity is rated at 6,000 pounds, while its maximum payload is 1,216 pounds. Optional powertrains include a 2.8-liter, V6 engine and a 4.3-liter, V6 engine. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard, while a four-speed automatic is an option.

    C/K 1500

    • The 1993 C/K 1500 is available in either a Regular Cab or an Extended Cab. Both of these cabs are available with either an 8-foot or a 6.5-foot cargo bed. A Sport side package also is available on the Extended Cab variants. C variants are two-wheel-drive vehicles, while K variants come standard in four-wheel drive. The base powertrain is a 4.3-liter, V6 engine with 165 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 235 pound-feet at 2,000 rpm. It has a maximum payload of 1,736 pounds, and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. It also comes standard with a five-speed automatic transmission, and the four-speed automatic transmission is also an option.

    C/K 2500

    • Aside from the Regular Cab and Extended Cab option, The 1993 C/K 2500 also is available with the HD Cab variant. Extended Cab models are only available with a short bed, while the Regular Cab is available with either a short or long bed. It has the same base powertrain as the 1500 model, but the 2500 has a variety of powertrain options. Engine upgrades include three variants of the V8 engine, a 6.2-liter diesel engine and a 6.5-liter, turbocharged diesel engine.

    C/K 3500

    • The C/K 3500 is available in three cab sizes: Regular, Extended and Crew Cab. All cabs come standard with an 8-foot-long bed, and the short bed is not an option. The base powertrain for the 3500 is the 5.7-liter, V8 engine with 190 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 300 pound-feet at 2,400 rpm. It has a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 4,019 pounds. It also comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, and a four-speed automatic is optional. Engine options include the 6.2-liter diesel engine, the 6.5-liter, turbocharged diesel engine, and the 7.4-liter, V8 engine.
