Uses of a Home Air Conditioning Blower Motor
Even though your furnace may be no longer working, the blower inside could still be salvageable. Blower motors, sometimes called squirrel cages, have a few several useful purposes. Most operate with 1/3 to 1/2 horsepower of force, which puts a lot of air out. It's like a super-charged fan. Blower motors have uses for home and work.

Shop Fan
-
There is nothing worse than temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit while doing an outdoor job. Blower motors offer a little relief from the heat. Warehouses and work shops where doors must remain open, and air-conditioning is pointless, can use blower motors as high powered fans. Hang them from the ceiling, or sit them on the ground and point them in the direction desired.
Dry Carpets
-
Wet carpets can take forever to dry. Enclosed areas that suffer from water damage need air circulation to aid in drying items out. A blower motor is a useful tool when your trying to get rid of excess water. Simply plug it in and find a dry place to sit it on the ground. The force of the wind will dry those objects a lot faster than an ordinary fan, leaving less chance for mold to grow.
Attic Ventilator Fan
-
Use a blower motor as a ventilation fan for your attic. The blower will blow the hot air out of your attic and in turn keep your attic and living area cooler. This is especially useful if you have central air because the cooler your house is, the less your air-conditioner has to work. The money you save on electric bills is an added benefit.
