Corporate College Scholarships and Grants for Minority Women

Women can access grants that are meant to specifically benefit women.

There are various corporate college scholarships in the United States that focus on assisting minority women pay their college fees. The scholarships are aimed at boosting the representation of minority women in the education sector. The common feature among all the grants is that they are academically merit-based, and applicants must have certain grades to be considered.

American Association of Japanese University Women

The American Association of Japanese University Women offers education grants to two to three women with outstanding educational performance each year to help them advance their education. The association was founded in 1970 in the United States, and its funds are from voluntary activities and donations. Female students wishing to apply for this scholarship should be aiming at advancing their education in the fields of economics, Japanese language and culture, East Asian studies, linguistics, medicine/ nursing, psychology and sociology.

The Asian Women in Business Scholarship Fund

The Asian Women in Business Scholarship Fund is awarded annually, and it's dependent on availability of funds. It was established in 2006 to encourage leadership development among Asian women in college. Asian women wishing to apply for this college scholarship should have demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurship and community service skills. Applicants for this scholarship must be Asian females from Japan, Korea, India, China, Cambodia, Philippines or Pakistan, among others. The applicants are required to have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and be enrolled as an undergraduate in a recognized U.S. institution at the time of applying. In addition, they must be U.S. citizens.

NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship

The NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship was developed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) committee on women's athletics. It gives 13 scholarships to female graduates to enable them to advance their postgraduate education. These female applicants first need to be accepted into a sports-related program. They also are required to be U.S. citizens with a prior background in extracurricular activities and commitment to intercollegiate athletics. The National Collegiate Athletic Association aims at promoting student-athletes' educational experiences.

Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarships

Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarships target African-American female students who are pursuing their education in colleges. It offers funds to students pursuing their education in journalism, economics, public policy or creative arts. Female students who want to pursue their education using these scholarships must have attained a minimum grade of 3.0 GPA. Applicants should have a high educational achievement and should be citizens of the U.S.
