Champagne is a versatile wine. It can be enjoyed in a wide variety of dining situations and is often the perfect complement to a party or reception. Champagne is also enjoyed in a variety of cocktails, such as the popular Mimosa and Bellini. Although sparkling wines from various locations around the world are often labeled "champagne," only those which come from the Champagne region of France can properly be given this title. The de Venoge winery is located on the celebrated "Avenue de Champagne" in Evernay, France. The champagne is produced with Cru Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes. After bottling, the wines are left for a minimum of three years before they are sold, allowing the champagne to mature in the cellar. The de Venoge winery is considered a medium-sized producer, and several of its products are available only in very limited quantities. On average, the bottle sells for $30.

From the Diebolt-Vallois winery, this offering is typically poured in conjunction with starter courses or as an after dinner drink. The wine is produced solely from Chardonnay grapes that have been harvested in the Chouilly, Cuis, Epernay and Cramant areas of Champagne. The wine offers fruity flavors and a floral aroma. Although prices vary, the wine can typically be purchased for $40.
