Cheap Employee Gift Ideas

Save

Buying cheap gifts for your employees still gives you lots of options to choose from, including practical and funny gifts. Decide how much you want to spend ahead of time so you narrow the options down. Also, consider if you are buying something for all your employees or just one person for a birthday or special occasion.

Heating and Cooling

  • While offices try to be temperate environments, they are sometimes too hot or too cold. Give cheap gifts that remedy this problem. For a cold office, give your employees blankets they can use. Some blankets even plug into USB ports to create heated blankets. Gloves with no fingertips are another option so the person can still type. If it is warm in your office, give your employees a fan that plugs into the USB port.

Pens

  • Pens are another good gift for your employees because they come in all shapes and sizes. For example, give your employees pens shaped like crayons for a funny but useful gift. Or you can give them a nice, refillable pen. Packs of colored pens are another cheap gift if your office requires lots of organization or writing.

Decor

  • Give employees something small to decorate their cubicles, offices or workspaces with. This can be a picture frame or a picture. A picture frame allows them to insert any picture they want to see throughout the day. You can either give them a motivational picture, or a funny picture that will make them laugh when they see it. Both will keep them going throughout the day because it will inspire them or make them laugh. Also, a picture adds color to the area.

Snacks

  • A simple gift to give employees is a snack jar. Fill mason jars with a trail mix that they can keep at their desks or take home. Another way to do this is to give them the ingredients to make cookies in a jar. Layer the ingredients and then tie a bow around the mouth of the jar with the cooking directions on it. This is a gift they can take home and enjoy or cook at home and bring into the office to share.
