The Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 is an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), also known as a quad, sold and manufactured between 2000 and 2006 by the Suzuki Motor Corporation, a Japanese maker of ATVs and motorcycles. The "500" in the vehicle's name refers to the displacement of its engine, which measures 493 cubic centimeters.
The Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 is equipped with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine has a single overhead camshaft valve train configuration. The bore and stroke measure 87.5 and 82.0 mm, respectively. The engine of the Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 has a 10.2:1 compression ratio, and is equipped with a high-capacity radiator with a thermostat-controlled cooling fan. The ATV also features a five-speed transmission with an automatic clutch and two-speed sub-transmission with a reverse gear. The Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 can be operated in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive modes.
The frame of the Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 features large-diameter, thin-walled tubing. The ATV is equipped with an independent double A-arm front suspension, and a Swingarm-type, four-link rear suspension. In addition, pre-load adjustable shock absorbers are mounted on all four corners of the vehicle. The Suzuki Quadrunner 500 4x4 comes with 25-inch tires and cast-aluminum wheels. The machine has hydraulic front disc brakes and drum rear brakes.
