The Suzuki LT-Z400, also known as the Suzuki QuadSport Z400, is a sport all terrain vehicle (ATV) introduced in 2002. Its user-friendly design is appropriate for multiple applications, including off-roading, racing and motocross. In 2004, the QuadSport was used to win the All Terrain Vehicle Association Pro Class Motocross Championship.
The Suzuki LT-Z400 features a dry-sump liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-valve engine with a dual overhead camshaft and a compression ratio of 11.3:1. It has a Mikuni BSR36 carburetor. It has a 90mm bore with a 62.6mm stroke and a displacement of 398cc. It has a transistorized ignition and an electronic starter. It has a five-speed transmission and the fuel tank has a capacity of 2.6 gallons.
Brakes and Suspension
The front brakes are twin hydraulic disc brakes and the rear brakes are single hydraulic disc. The front suspension is an independent double A-arm five-way adjustable preload with 8.5 inches of travel. The rear suspension is a gas- and oil-damped linkage-type fully adjustable spring preload with adjustable compression and rebound damping. It has 9.1 inches of travel.
Overall, this ATV measures 72 inches long by 45.9 inches inches wide by 45.7 inches tall. The seat height is 31.9 inches, and the ground clearance is 10.4 inches. The dry weight is 372 pounds and the wheelbase measures 49 inches. The front tires have a diameter of 22 inches, with a width of 7 inches and a rim diameter of 10 inches. The rear tires have a diameter of 20 inches, with a width of 10 inches and a rim diameter of 9 inches.
