Television settings such as sharpness, backlighting and black level are matters of personal taste, program material and room lighting. Vizio provides fixed settings for movies and gaming, for instance, to offer easy color profiles. Vizio TVs often ship with a preset color temperature that tends to produce a faint yellow/green cast. Achieve optimum settings for the Vizio VO370M HDTV by adjusting the Custom Settings in a dimly lit viewing room. (Remember that settings are subjective.)
Set the picture mode to "Custom." Adjust the "Backlight" setting to 14. Set brightness to 50, contrast to 50 and color to 48. Leave the tint at 0. Set the sharpness at 4.
Advanced Video Menu
Leave the "Advanced Video Settings" options "Noise Reduction," "Color Enhancement," "Advanced Adaptive Luma" and "Enhanced Contrast Ratio" set to "Off."
Color Temperature Menu
Set the color temperature at "Normal." Set the "RGB" components as follows: "Red": 127, "Green": 135, "Blue": 125.
