Bose 501 Specs


Manufactured by the Bose Corp., the 501 Series V Direct/Reflecting Speakers were designed for the high-end home audio market. Outfitted in a patented multi-chamber enclosure, Bose states that the the 501s were engineered as such to "reproduce low frequencies free of audible distortion" and "deliver a wider band of pure, deep bass than conventional designs." From the point of purchase, the 501s are covered by a five-year warranty, transferable with ownership.


  • The 501 speaker set is made up of one 5 1/4-inch woofer and two 2 1/2-inch tweeters per cabinet.

Compatibility and Impedance

  • 501s have a power rating of 100 watts IEC and are compatible with amplifiers and receivers with ratings of 10 to 200 watts per channel and 4 to 8 ohms.


  • The speaker enclosure is finished with a black ash vinyl veneer and black metal mesh grilles.

Weight and Dimensions

  • Each speaker box weighs 20 lbs. with height, width and depth of 31-inches, 7 5/8-inches and 7 5/8-inches, respectively.
