The 2002 Dodge Ram was completely redesigned in 2002, according to MSN Autos. The 4.7-liter V8 engine is found on four versions of the four-door 2002 Ram 1500 4x4: the ST Quad Cab Short Bed, ST Quad Cab Long Bed, SLT Quad Cab Short Bed and the SLT Quad Cab Long Bed. Though Dodge produced three main versions of the Ram--the 1500, 2500 and 3500--the 4.7-liter V8 was only available on the 1500 version of the truck. The engine produced 240 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 300 foot-pounds of torque at 3,200 rpm.

ST Quad Cab Short Bed 4WD

  • The 2002 Ram four-wheel-drive ST Quad Cab Short Bed version had four doors and could seat up to six people. The truck had a standard towing capacity of 4,200 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 8,100 pounds. If also had a standard and maximum payload capacity of 1,517 pounds.

ST Quad Cab Long Bed 4WD
