Suzuki Intruder 800 Specs

The Suzuki Intruder is a line of cruiser motorcycles that was manufactured from 1996 until 2004, when it was replaced with the Suzuki Boulevard line. The Intruder 800 represents the entry-level model. Due to the bike's relatively large engine displacement, however, it is still best suited to those with previous experience on motorcycles.
Dimensions and Exterior
The Suzuki Intruder 800 is 46.5 inches in height, 88.6 inches in length, 34.8 inches in width, has 4.9 inches of ground clearance and has a 61.4-inch wheelbase. It has a dry weight of 443 pounds, which assumes an empty fuel tank of 3.2 gallons. The plastic exterior is fitted with front and rear steel fenders, folding rear-view mirrors, a kick stand and rubber hand grips.
Engine
The Intruder 800 has a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, two-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder in a single-overhead camshaft (SOHC) configuration. A compression ratio of 10.01:1 and a bore and stroke of 3.27 and 2.93 inches produces a displacement of 805 cubic centimeters (cc) and an engine displacement-to-weight ratio of 1.82:1. The engine is fueled by a single carburetor and is controlled by a shaft-drive five-speed manual transmission.
Chassis
The front of the steel frame is fitted with a 19-inch aluminum wheel, a 100/90 HR19 tire, disc brakes a caliper piston and telescopic fork suspension. The rear is fitted with a 15-inch aluminum wheel, 140/90 HR15 tire drum brakes, two shock absorbers and twin-sided swing arm suspension.
