The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) provides service to more than 30 million airline passengers every year. For passengers visiting Detroit or staying for a layover, there are a wide range of hotels for both business and family travelers to choose from. Although the airport is located in the city of Detroit, Romulus, a nearby city, is actually closer to the airport than many areas of the large metropolitan city of Detroit.

Located in Romulus, Michigan, the Detroit Metro Airport Clarion Hotel provides services designed for those traveling to and from the nearby airport. The hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle service with a travel time of approximately 8 minutes. It also offers an on-site continental breakfast for travelers with morning flights. The hotel's restaurant, the Garden Cafe, allows guests to dine without having to leave the hotel. In addition, a "Stay and Fly" package is offered, allowing travelers to stay one night at the hotel and leave their car at the hotel's lot for up to a week. The hotel offers travelers a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, a nightly manager's reception and weekday newspaper delivery. For guests with pets, the hotel accommodates one pet per guest room at $20 a night. Located at DTW, the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport offers guests an exclusive Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint to access the airport's McNamara Terminal. Hotel guests are able to dine and shop in the terminal after passing through the hotel's TSA checkpoint, open between 7:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. The smoke-free hotel also offers airline check-in and baggage storage for traveling guests.
