The Polaris Xplorer 250 4X4 is an all-terrain vehicle, or ATV, produced by Polaris Industries, a U.S.-based manufacturer of snowmobiles, ATVs, golf carts and similar vehicles. The Xplorer 250 was manufactured and sold in the early 2000s. The "250" in the vehicle's name refers to the displacement of its engine.

Engine and Transmission

The Polaris Xplorer 250 is equipped with a single-cylinder two-stroke engine. The piston displaces 244 cc, or 14.91 cubic inches, thanks to its 72mm bore and 60mm stroke. The engine has transverse mounting. The ATV comes with a carburetor fuel supply system. It has a wet, cable-operated clutch. The engine is linked to a manual transmission.

Ignition

The Polaris Xplorer 250 features a digital CDI, or capacitor discharge ignition, with one spark per cylinder.

The Polaris Xplorer 250 is operated by one person. The vehicle has a seat available for another person.

Tires

The Polaris Xplorer 250 comes with 23/R front tires and 24/11 R10 rear tires. The front tires needs to have a pressure of 0.28 bar, whereas 0.21 bar is enough for the back tires.
