Friday Night Family Ideas
Most likely, Friday night in your family means free time away from work and school and the ability to stay out later than normal. Take advantage of this quality time and organize a Friday night that the whole family will enjoy. Allow your family members a say in the fun, food and activities and you'll turn the average "Friday night" into "Family Night."

Movies
-
Movies are typical Friday night fare. Instead of everyone taking off to the theater for a separate showing, gather the family together to enjoy movies as a group. Incorporate movies into your Friday family night by either going to the same theater or bringing the movies home to you. If you plan on taking everyone out to the movie theater, give each family member a chance to offer his idea for which movie to see. Choose a movie that is both family-friendly and likely that your entire family will enjoy. You can incorporate everyone's movie choices if you host your movie night at home, giving each family member a chance to watch a movie of his choice. If you stay home, don't forget the popcorn.
Games
-
Bring the family together on a Friday night with a selection of games. Incorporating games into your Friday family night will provide both fun and interaction among family members. Consider games that each family member will be able to fully participate in. Many video games, such as "Rock Band" and "Super Smash Bros.: Brawl" feature multi-player gameplay for fun interaction and/or friendly competition. Consider a selection of traditional games that are fun and don't require too much setup, such as Uno or checkers. Other games, such as charades and 20 questions, will inspire fun and interaction on a Friday night.

Dinner
-
Provide some food favorites to your family on a Friday night and you'll be sure to bring everyone together. Consider a Friday night family dinner either out at a restaurant or at home. Visit your favorite family restaurant or take a vote from family members on an alternative. Since it's Friday night, consider allowing your family members to eat food you might not normally eat during the week, such as pizza or burgers. At home, cook a family favorite or order out from a pizza parlor or Chinese restaurant to accent other family activities like movies and/or games.
