The National Institute of Health sponsored a trial to study and determine the effectiveness of chelation therapy for people with coronary artery disease.

    • U.S. News Health gives heart patients a warning on herbal medicines used in alternative medicine practices that may cause negative interactions with traditional doctor-prescribed medications. This site warns that the supplements used in alternative medicine do not have to pass the safety and effectiveness checks that prescription medicines do.
