Baby Shower Thank You Gift Ideas

Save

A hostess' job is to make a baby shower special in many ways, from creating thank you notes for the mom-to-be to make out after the shower to making party favors. Providing gifts for the attendees is also an important task that the hostess will fulfill. Cards and gifts appropriately thank party guests, but they need not take a lot of your time to create.

Thank You Cards

  • Make things easier on the mom-to-be by creating handmade cards for her to send to the guests as a thank you after the party. Cardstock cut to fit into envelopes makes the base of the card. A picture of the mom highlights the front of the card, while the inside is left blank for her personal message to each guest. The back can be used as well, if she requires more writing space. Ribbon tied around the cards before inserting them into the envelopes adds style.

New Growth Gift

  • To celebrate the growth of the baby within the mom-to-be, help her to put together new growth thank you gift bags for the guests. Fill the bags with items to grow a pot of flowers, including a pot and a packet of seeds. Once you've purchased bags of soil, separate the soil out into smaller bags which hold enough to fill the pots.

Placed on a table for everyone to choose from, these will make memorable thank you gifts. Each guest picks one up after signing the guest book. Make extras in case more people show than you expect.

Relaxation Gift

  • A relaxation thank you gift basket will provide each guest with her own at-home spa night. Name tags placed on each will ensure that the right person receives her intended gift, and you'll need to ensure that you take any allergies and the skin tones of each guest into consideration.

Fill a basket with items such as a votive candle and holder, and washcloths folded into bunny shapes. Add a facial mask, body scent, bubble bath and shampoo, as well as a bottle of lotion. If you wish, include nail polish and remover, nail files and clippers. It is OK to use trial sizes if desired. Look for inexpensive items at a dollar store.

Tie curly ribbons to either side of the basket handles after filling each with the necessary items. Place them on the tables and use them as party favor place cards.
