World Wrestling Entertainment is a Stamford, Connecticut--based sports entertainment company. Every Monday and Friday, the WWE hosts television shows that are followed by many adults and children. A WWE-themed party is an ideal choice for girls who enjoy professional wrestling. Include several of the party girl's favorite WWE wrestlers in the party's theme.
Unfortunately, the WWE does not sell party supplies, nor has the organization licensed any company to mass produce party supplies for it. This leaves parents with the responsibility of creating party decorations. Choose a Monday Night RAW theme with the colors of red and black or a Friday Night Smackdown motif with silver and blue. Coordinate the colors with tableware, napkins, cups, balloons, streamers and tablecloths. Purchase WWE action figures and attach balloons to them for centerpieces. Hang WWE wrestling posters on the walls, and place a length of red carpet from the entrance to the party girl's chair, forming an aisle.
Pick up black foam, plastic gemstones, glue, scissors, hook-and-loop tape, glitter and stick-on letters from a craft store. Let each guest make his or her own WWE Championship belt. Another crafty activity is to have guests make a wrestling ring. Form several groups with four people per team. Set a timer and tell them they have to set the ring up in the time allotted. Some supplies needed are pencils, colored rubber bands, a small cardboard box, napkins for the ring apron and large flat pink erasers for stairs. Cut a Promo is a game where each participant reads a fictional storyline from cue cards. The story ideas come from the other guests at the party. Another party game involves creating a ring entrance and strut. Let guests choose their own music and have them make up a dance or funny walk. Use a length of red carpet for the entryway.
Use a picture or a poster of your child's favorite wrestler and take this to a local bakery. Ask the baker if she can make a cake and put the wrestler's image on it. Decorate a sheet cake to resemble a wrestling ring. Use icing on the sides of the cake to form ropes, and inscribe a message to the party girl on the face of the cake. Serve purple punch out of urns if the Undertaker is a favorite wrestler of the party girl. Make "elbow drop" macaroni salad with elbow pasta, celery, red pepper, Miracle Whip and cheese. Create finger sandwiches by using a knife to cut the sandwiches into championship belt shapes.
