Weird Punk Hair Styles

A single Mohawk is a common punk hair style.

A punk look is bold and is influenced by many cultures and styles. Punk hair stands out---the wearer wants to be noticed. Punk hair styles are commonly dyed bright colors to accent the style. Coming up with a punk hair style can be fun because there are no boundaries, and there are several weird hair styles to choose from.

Trihawk

A trihawk is a triple Mohawk, a style created by spiking the hair into three separate Mohawks at once. A Mohawk must be put up using firm-hold hair gel or spray so that it stays firm and doesn't fall over. While a trihawk can be styled with a full head of hair---simply shaping the hair into three Mohawks---it works best when the head is shaved to leave only the three sections of hair used. The style can be varied by personal preference, such cutting the outer two Mohawks short while the inner one is worn long.

Shaved Designs

Patterns and words can be shaved into short hair so that they stand out and create a design on the wearer's head. To do this, a design is drawn onto the head and then shaved away with fine hair clippers. This can either be done so that the design stands out---shaving the hair away around the design---or so that it is indented---shaving the actual areas of the design. The design can be dyed different colors so that it stands out even more.

Long Bangs

Long bangs worn with a shaved head can be styled with hair gel and dyed. To create this style, start with hair that is at least 3 inches long, and section off a portion in the middle of the head. Shave the entire head around this small section, leaving it uncut so that the wearer has only bangs left unshaved. These bangs can be left as they are or spiked in different styles with firm-hold hair gel. The bangs can also be dyed bright colors.
