According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2008, graphic designers held close to 281,100 jobs. These designers join employees of the movie industry, video game developers and web designers as former students of computer art programs. As of 2010, the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that multimedia artists and animators expect better job prospects for breaking into the movie business than the more glamorous jobs.
