Hair Games for Girls & Boys
Playing games is a way for children to explore new things, try out different roles, and begin to figure out what they like and what they don't. Virtual hair styling games let kids relax and spend some time being creative, experimenting with different styles and color combinations, using models that never complain.

Emo
-
The Emo hair styling game provides a memory challenge for aspiring stylists. The frame on the page displays a girl with her hair and makeup completed, giving her an "emo" look, a style which is popular with many teens. As the stylist, you are to study how she looks, then do your best to recreate it from memory. You score points for how close you come to making the model look like she did in the frame. Bonus points are given for how quickly you complete the task. Kids 8 and up will enjoy this challenging online game.
Mr. Hairy Face
-
Boys and girls alike will have fun creating many different wild looks for Mr. Hairy Face, the main character (and your client) in this game. Icons line both sides of the frame. Click on one and that item appears on the client. Choose from different hair styles and colors, hats, facial hair, and other accessories. Children 4 and up will enjoy playing this fun game. Changes can be made over and over to give Mr. Hairy Face many different looks, both serious and silly. The game is free and is played online.
Picture Perfect
-
This game for the Nintendo DS lets you use the game to work on your own hair. "Picture Perfect" uses automatic face recognition software to photograph your face when you are correctly positioned. Then use thousands of options to try out different hair styles and makeup, to find the look that is best for you. Try out different looks for yourself, your friends, and your family.
In addition to trying out different styles for people you know, you can also take on the role of an operator in a busy hair styling salon. Both girls and boys will find it a challenge to keep customers happy while giving them the haircuts they've asked for when they come in your shop. The game is rated for everyone, but is probably best for ages 7 to 12, though older players will definitely enjoy the self-styling features built into "Picture Perfect."
