Farm Diversification Grants
Farm diversification grants assist traditional farmers with setting up new non-farming projects such as bed and breakfasts or local tourist attractions. The grants can also be used to supplement farm work with poultry and other specialty foods such as organic beef or dairy products. Additional farm diversification projects include local sustainable cooperative farming.

The Oklahoma Agriculture Enhancement and Diversification Program is funded by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, and is open to individuals who are involved in farming, ranching or agro-tourism. Eligible projects are non-traditional crop or livestock expansion programs. Prior to submitting an application, candidates should review the feasibility of their projects by investigating new or innovative marketing strategies, and establishing a strong business plan that shows the income potential of diversifying existing farmlands. Applicants are welcome to seek the assistance of advisers for their grant preparation. The Program recommends that grant applicants seek the assistance of extension educators such as university faculty or staff, agricultural loan officers or experts from the Noble Foundation and the Kerr Center.
