Leave your dog in good hands when you go away.

Leaving your dog behind when you go away can be difficult. Finding a good dog kennel will put your mind at ease, allowing you to enjoy yourself during your time away. Knowing you will come home to a happy, healthy and unstressed dog will make all the difference to both you and your pet. If you live in or around Birmingham, Alabama, you have several reputable facilities from which to choose.

  1. Pink Paw Pet Spa and Resort

    • Pink Paw Pet Spa and Resort can be your pet's home away from home. The facility offers both short- and long-term boarding, as well as daycare and grooming. The 8,300-square-foot building also boasts 2,800 square feet of outdoor space. The owners do not use leashes, and dogs are free to roam throughout the day. Dogs are given at least four outside trips each day, and all dogs are kept together. The dogs are only separated and confined when they sleep, and sleeping accommodations change based on the rate you wish to pay. For $25 per night, your dog will stay in a bungalow, which is a large cage, the size of which varies based on the dog's size. For $38 or $45 per night, your dog can stay in a private villa, or bedroom. There are several play times throughout the day, and employees get down and play with the dogs.

Fetch! Pet Care of S Birmingham

    • Fetch! Pet Care offers a completely different experience than that of most dog kennels. When you use Fetch! Pet Care, instead of a boarding facility, your dog is kept in the home of a Fetch! employee in Birmingham. All employees are put through a rigorous training and screening process. You can arrange a free consultation before you book your dog's stay, and you can bring your dog to meet the Fetch! employee on a date previous to your departure. While most employees prefer you bring your dog to them, pet taxi services are available. Fetch! Pet care does require that you provide your dog's food, treats and bedding.
