Each month, Singles Dances Atlanta hosts dance parties for singles who are looking to meet others and have a good time. The group promotes itself as an alternative to the bar and club scene. During the events, at least two tables are set aside for first-time guests who would like someone to talk to before dancing. Dances take place at different venues throughout the Atlanta area, including hotels, recreation centers and community halls. Music is played from a variety of different genres, including 1970s disco, rock and roll, big band and 1980s music. Today's popular music is also played at the dance parties. The parties feature a disc jockey.
