Styles of Coleman Lanterns
Coleman is a company that was built on the innovation of its lanterns. According to Coleman Company history, lantern aficionado and typewriter salesman W. C. Coleman became interested in a bright white gas powered lamp when he realized its light source enabled him to read after dark. The first Coleman lantern was sold in 1909 for indoor use in homes. The Coleman name is now synonymous with camping and outdoor recreation products worldwide.

They are made for stationary operation. The longest burning time of these lanterns is provided by the NorthStar Dual Fuel, InstaStart Lantern which provides light for 14 hours when placed on the lowest light setting and seven hours on the highest. Hard and soft lantern cases provide safety while in transport. You can power liquid fuel models with Coleman Liquid Fuel or unleaded gas.
