ATV Brake Tools

There are many different All Terrain Vehicle (ATVs) on the back roads, and the process for changing their brakes will differ from model to model. However, the tools needed to do a brake job on an ATV will basically be the same for every model. Your local ATV dealer will have everything you will need to complete a brake job on your ATV.

  1. Offset Brake Bleeder Wrenches

    • You will need bleeder wrenches to drain the brake fluid from the brakes.

    Tube Bender

    • A tube bender allows you to bend various sized metal tubes for the brakes so that the tubes can fit around other components.

    Tube Flaring Tool

    • A flaring tool allows you to flare the tips of the brake tubes so that you can connect the neccesary tubes to each other.

    Disk Brake Pad Spreader

    • The brake spreader allows you to push the caliper piston back into the caliper and install the new brake pads.

    Caliper Wrenches

    • Caliper wrenches allow you to loosen the retaining nuts that hold the caliper in place on the brake rotor.

    ATV Lug Wrench

    • You will need a lug wrench to remove the nuts securing the tires to the axle; this wrench will need to be model-specific to your vehicle.

    Brake Spring Compressor

    • You will need a compressor to compress different springs on the brakes to remove and replace the different components on the drum brakes.
