While fishing is a popular hobby for many, weather, regional, and seasonal factors often prevent participants from heading to the water. While fishing is not always an option, fans of the sport can simulate the experience on their video gaming consoles. One in a series of fishing simulation games, "Bass Masters Classic: Pro Edition" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis in late 1996. "Pro Edition" players can use tips and tricks to enhance their performance.

  1. Equipment Tips

    • "Bass Masters Classic: Pro Edition" boasts several different lakes to give players a variety of fishing spots. To catch the most and biggest fish, players should try different lures, rods, reels, and boats. Due to the different environments, players will find success with all the different accessories depending on which stage they are playing. The type of fish matters as well, as some respond better than others to particular bait. The boats in the game have variable speeds, which can help gamers to try out different areas of a lake quicker to find fish.

By entering codes, players get special items and bonus money.
