The Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois opened for business in 2001. The club's 18-hole par 72, 7,255-yard course sits on the North Shore of Lake Michigan about 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The course is built on top of what used to be the Glenview Naval Air Station. Seven holes feature water hazards, and the entire course provides sweeping views of the Chicago skyline. The club offers luxury overnight accommodations and a 50,000-square-foot clubhouse to relax in after a world-class round of golf. Fees for 18-holes range from $102 to $177 per person as of July 2010.

Pine Meadow Golf Club in Mundelein, Illinois retains high ratings from "Golf Digest," "Golfweek" and "Chicagoland Golf Magazine." Pine Meadow hosts championship tournaments, including the Ladies PGA, the Illinois PGA Stroke Play, Illinois Senior PGA and the Illinois Jr. Golf Association tours. Pine Meadow was built on the St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in 1927 and went to 18 holes in 1929. The course sits on 220 pristine acres nestled among another 800 acres of seminary land surrounded by quarter-century old oak trees along with pines, maples and hickory trees. Rates for the course range from $34 to $130 depending on day and time of play. Rates are current as of July 2010.

Cog Hill Golf and Country Club plays host to the world-class Dubsdread Golf Course. The course has been the site of many championship tournaments, including the BMW Championship, the Western Open Championship and four USGA Championships, as well as named the best golf course in Illinois in "Golfweek's" "Best Courses You Can Play." The course was built in 1964 and renovated in 2008 to accord more with the vision of the original designers. Multiple water hazards and an array of bunkers near many of the greens make the course difficult and demanding. Fees for play are $135 as of July 2010.
