Games for a Singles Night
Sometimes, it can be hard to meet a special person. If that's the case for you or your friends, throw a singles party night. Invite all your single friends and your friends' single friends. Play games at the party to break the ice. Games are a good way to help people loosen up and get to know one another.

Proverbs

This game is good at the beginning of a party, especially if many of the attendees don't know one another. Fill a basket with halves of famous proverbs, such as "every cloud" and "has a silver lining," written on index cards. Each guest draws an index card out of the basket and has to go find its match. This is a good way to break the ice. If your party is targeted toward people finding a date, put the cards with the first half of the phrases in one basket and let the women choose from there. The cards with the second half can go in another basket that the men pick from.

This singles party game is fun because it gets everyone involved. It also is a good way to let people begin getting to know one another. Give everyone an index card and a pen. Have each guest anonymously write a personal secret (I hate my hair; when I was little I wanted to be a police officer, etc.) on the card. Place the cards in a basket. The party host gathers the cards and reads each secret to the group, with the guests guessing whose secret it is.

Dress Up

This game is fun for singles because it is silly and allows for creativity. Divide the group into teams of five or six people each. Every group should choose one person to be the model. The remaining members of the group have to dress the model, using their own clothes. Each person should take off one piece of clothing to put on the model. However, the items can't be used in their traditional manner. Instead, for example, use a scarf as a skirt or a sock as a glove.
Human Musical Chairs

This game is fun once the singles at the party have gotten to know one another a little bit. Play traditional musical chairs, but with the men serving as the chairs. The men gather in a circle and kneel on one knee. When the music plays, the women circle around the men and when it stops, they have to quickly sit on a knee. There is always one more woman than man playing the game. The woman who is eliminated can choose which man has to come out of the circle. Some women may be uncomfortable playing this, so it people are hesitant, it's best to move on to another game.
