All pontoon boat rentals come equipped with life jackets, area maps, ropes and anchors. Travelers in need of accommodations can rent an RV site with a boat dock if they so desire. Manatee Boat Rentals Company also offers guided pontoon boat tours for those who do no wish to captain their own vessel. Many food and beverage establishments are located along the Homosassa River. Families or individuals can dock and dine whenever they are hungry. A boat rental deposit is required for all pontoon boats, regardless of rental time-length.

Capt. Mike's Crystal River Kayak Rentals provides Delta 12.10 kayaks equipped with personal floatation devices (PFD), high back seats, bilge pumps and Skagit paddles. Transportation is provided via a 15-passenger van that transports you to an entry point on the Crystal River known for Manatee activity in the winter months. All rentals are full day, regardless of how long you use your kayak. Meet-up time is 7:30 a.m. and return times are either noon-1 p.m or 3 p.m.-4 p.m. A thorough demonstration of proper kayak/equipment use is given prior to boat launch. Renters must be over the age of 18, due to liability issues. Rentals are available November 1-April 30.--the manatee season in Florida.

Jon Boats

River Safaris & Gulf Charters, Inc. rents Jon boats by the half-day or full day, with a hike in prices during the scallop season (June 19- September 10). These small boats are 17 feet long and can accommodate up to five people (955 lbs. maximum weight). Gas is included for all rentals. River Safaris & Gulf Charters, Inc. only uses 4-stroke outboard motors, which are quiet and fuel-efficient. A valid credit card and driver's license proving that you are over 25 years old is required for all rentals. No alcohol is allowed on board. Discounts of 15% are available for rentals of three or more days, when reservation/payment is made in advance. Propeller insurance is available to cover renters in case of accidental damage.
