Environmental Assistance Open Grant Program
-
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) offers an open grant program to provide environmental assistance throughout the state. This grant program is designed to provide assets for construction projects that relate to waste reduction and prevention, source-separated composting and stormwater monitoring. The MPCA may consider funding projects it considers time-sensitive, even if they don't meet these criteria. Past grants include an award of $23,750 to the city of Morris to help redevelop 17 acres of city land into environmentally friendly housing and $36,000 to help the city of St. Paul create local regulations and guidelines for green construction.
