Car Shows in Western Massachusetts
Western Massachusetts has dozens of auto shows throughout the year. The region hosts everything from antique car shows to car shows for charitable benefits. Western Massachusetts car shows are known for their food, entertainment, music and of course, a wide variety of automobiles. Many local organizations help organize these events.

Brimfield Antique Auto Show

The town of Brimfield is located right near the Connecticut border, but it proudly hosts an auto show for Massachusetts residents. Held at the Hitchcock Academy Community Center near the town common, the Brimfield Antique Auto Show is going on to its second year running in 2010. More than a half dozen classic car categories are on display. Muscle cars, classic trucks, imports and street rods are brought to this event. The event also has music, food and carnival games throughout the day. The Brimfield Antique Auto Show is usually held at the beginning of October.

Jaime S. Rivera Benefit Car Show

The Jamie S. Rivera event is held in the city of Agawam, another border town to Connecticut. The event commemorates the life of Jamie S. Rivera, who lost his battle to stomach cancer in 2007. For the past three years, the organizers of the event have invited classic and rare owners to Agawam High School. Antique cars, motorcycles, even monster trucks, come to this celebration of Rivera's life. The event also has raffles, food, entertainment and contests. All proceeds go to the Shriner's Hospital for Children in Springfield, Massachusetts. The event is usually held in early August.

Pioneer Valley GTO Association Annual Classic Car Show

A major organizer for car related events in Western Massachusetts is the Pioneer Valley GTO Association. Besides the dozens of car events held throughout the region and year, the GTO Association puts on a classic car show for charity. For the past 12 years, the association has organized an event that brings classic GTO cars to Western Massachusetts. The event is usually held in the first week of June at the Polish American Club in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. Patrons of the Pioneer Valley GTO show can also enjoy live music, food and drinks at this event. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Relay for Life and the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
