If you can't use this idea because your business name begins with "The," perhaps the initial of each word after the first word will work better. If your business name is The Baby-sitting Pros, you might choose "BP" in an eye-catching font and appealing colors. Otherwise, your logo might just read "The Baby-sitting Pros." It might sound simple, but it works well for corporations such as Microsoft.

You don't want to choose a polar bear image for a baby-sitting service logo if your business name has nothing to do with polar bears. However, if your baby-sitting service business name is Polar Bear Sitters, perhaps it could work. Choose something different if you see other services similar to yours using images of a baby or babies as their logo. For the sake of standing out, use different colors or a baby in a different pose.

If you're not comfortable having a logo that is exclusively text or exclusively an image, try incorporating the two. Come up with the type of text logo you'd like as well as the kind of image logo you'd like separately and try to merge them together by experimenting with the overall design. For example, if your text is "The Baby-sitting Pros" and your image is of a young girl holding a baby, you can experiment with the placement of the text by putting it underneath the image, through the image or above the image.
