The Golf Academy of America provides a two-year associate degree program in Golf Complex Operations and Management. The training has two areas of emphasis: golf professional and general golf management. The academy provides students this programs in three semesters and 16 months. Rutgers University

Rutgers University offers a two-year Turf Management certificate program. This program will help a potential golf course manager to learn the basics regarding turf management, including irrigation, mechanics and spray technician. The program is broken into 10-week sessions over two years. Students will also earn hands-on experience as part of a 200-hour internship. University staff has trained nearly 2,000 students since 1962.

Virginia College Online offers students an online golf course management program. The focus is providing students with an education in operating and managing a golf course. The bachelor's degree program also includes a focus in business and management. Students will develop critical thinking abilities, leadership development and management training. The 195-credit program will help students understand personal appearance, procedures for golf equipment inventory and how to demonstrate leadership skills with a golf course staff.
