Cut flowers are available year-round, although you are likely to find different varieties depending on the time of year. Cut flowers such as sunflowers or roses can be arranged in the middle of your table as your centerpiece. You can also place flowers on your mantle or other areas where you need to brighten up your home. Does this Spark an idea?

Daisies are a simple yet attractive flower. You can feature daisies in your home throughout the year because the colors are so versatile. White daisies match any occasion, but you can also place red, orange, pink and yellow daisies on your table. Most daisies begin to die after the first week, but some hang on for a full two weeks.

Roses are a common type of cut flower. These flowers come in a rainbow of colors. Some hybrid varieties combine colors, such as orange with pink tips. Most types of roses can last up to two weeks. You can add fertilizer to the water to influence how long they last. Some bouquets come with this, but you can also buy a small package at the store.

Roses are also combined with baby's breath flowers and other greenery to make them more attractive. The major drawback of cut roses, like other cut flowers, is that these plants can't be transplanted into the ground. Once they are cut, they will only last for a few weeks at the most. The only way to keep your roses forever is to allow them to dry out by hanging them upside down with no water.
