In 2009, Allegro Performing Arts Academy was voted the Best Dance Studio in Western Washington by Seattle's Evening Magazine. It was also named one of the Top 50 Dance Studios of 2009 by the Federation of Dance Competitions. Operating in Kent since 1996 under the leadership of founder Tonya Goodwillie, Allegro offers lyrical dance classes as a part of its summer session for students at the junior level (8 to 12 years old) as well as the senior level (13 years and up). These classes combine ballet and jazz dance styles with fluid transitional movements and breathing.

British is recognized for its focus on classical methods and technique. It teaches modern and jazz technique in a summer intensive class for students ages 10 and up.
