The Health Resources and Services Administration, a division of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, provides scholarship money to financially needy students pursuing degrees in health-related fields of study. These scholarships are awarded through individual institutions, and provide students with varying levels of assistance, according to need. A graduate student pursuing a degree in clinical psychology is eligible, provided that they are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, they can demonstrate financial need, and they come from a disadvantage background as defined by DHHS. Interested students should visit the DHHS website for more information, or contact the office of financial aid at the institution they attend. Clinical psychology is currently the only psychological field that is eligible for this scholarship.
