Cuff bracelets are popular accessories, whether they are made from metal, fabric or beads. Design your own beaded cuffs using bead-weaving stitches and wide, multistrand clasps. Beaded cuff bracelets can be silky smooth or 3-D and faceted, depending on the types of beads and on the beading technique that you choose.
Peyote Stitch Cuff Bracelet

A peyote beading stitch is a type of bead weaving that can create a cuff bracelet with an image or a pattern. There are several variations of the peyote stitch such as odd-count peyote, even-count peyote and tubular peyote. You can make a cuff bracelet with any of these techniques using size 10 and smaller seed beads. You must use the same size seed bead to make a peyote cuff; any size variation will be noticeable. Select quality seed beads so the beads are uniform within the size you select. The placement of the beads within the stitch creates the image or pattern on the bracelet. To design your own project for a peyote cuff, transpose an image onto graph paper. The squares on the paper represent one bead color. Peyote pattern projects are also available online and in beading magazines.
Right-angle Weave Cuff Bracelet

Make a flashy crystal cuff bracelet using a right-angle weave technique. The simplest way to work a right-angle weave is with a single needle, beading wire or soft monofilament line. The double-needle right-angle weave technique can be tricky for beginning bead weavers. Right-angle weave patterns consist of multiple sections of four beads which are joined together in a diamond design. The sections are connected together for the length and width of the jewelry. You can make a right angle weave design using any size beads, just keep the sizes uniform within the sections.
Multi-Strand Seed Bead Cuff Bracelet

Create a cuff bracelet with at least nine strands of seed beads connected between a multistrand clasp. Seed beads are tiny glass beads you can string in a row on beading thread. Vary the bracelet design by incorporating larger size 6/0 seed beads with smaller size 11/0 beads on the same strand. Color combinations are another way to alter the cuff bracelet project. Connect the strands between the sections of clasp in a straight row, diagonally or by twisting them together to add dimension. Multistrand clasps have at least two loops on each section to connect the beaded strands.
