Aircraft Mechanic

Aircraft mechanics perform repairs, equipment installations, avionics testing and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-required inspections of FedEx aircraft. FedEx aircraft mechanics must possess an FAA mechanic's license with both airframe and power-plant ratings. According to Glassdoor, FedEx aircraft mechanics earned an average of $84,692 annually as of spring 2010.

Dispatchers plan flights, plan for weather conditions, calculate load weights and inform pilots of any changes that may affect the flight. A dispatcher, along with the flight's captain, are legally responsible for the safety of the flight. FedEx dispatchers earned an average of $57,625 per year as of February 2010, according to Glassdoor.
