Spread across four counties and situated just 90 miles north of New York City, the Catskill Mountains and Catskill Park offer a host of tent and RV camping opportunities. Most campgrounds in the region stay open from early May until late October. Travelers can typically reserve spots on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

  1. Berentsen’s Campground

    • Located in Bloomingburg, New York, Berentsen’s Campground offers spots for both tent and RV campers. Sites include electrical, septic and water hook-ups. Guests may also utilize the campground’s laundry, bathroom and shower facilities. Onsite amenities include a children’s playground, picnic tables, barbecues and a swimming pool. The campground features a pond and a stream on the premises, and the surrounding region plays host to golf courses, horseback riding opportunities and various hiking trails.

    Brookside Campground

    • Situated alongside Kiskatom Brook, Brookside Campground is located directly outside the entrance to Catskill Park. Travelers can camp out in tents or RVs, or they can rent an onsite trailer equipped with a sofa, a dining area and a kitchen, the latter of which includes a stove, a sink and a refrigerator. The campground offers such recreational facilities as a swimming pool, volleyball courts and a playground outfitted with a pirate ship. Children may enjoy the campground’s game room or its organized arts and crafts workshops.

    Oxbow Campsites

    • Oxbow Campsites, located along the banks of the Delaware River, offers excellent conditions for fishing and canoeing. The campgrounds feature 110 camping sites for tents and RVs, most of which include fire rings and hookups for water, sewer and electricity. The campsite’s recreation hall offers arcade games, televisions, air hockey, billiards and ping-pong tables. Oxbow’s facilities include two playgrounds, volleyball courts, multiple bathrooms and laundry facilities. Guests can rent a picnic pavilion for private events and gatherings.
